What is the FTSE, Nasdaq, etc??? And what does it tell you? I am 14, and I want to be a broker, is that a good job?? Where can I find work experiance in London for this job? I will be doing GCSE, so I just want to know what you do, being a broker?

    To be a broker you need to be 18 and licensed.

  3. FTSE is an stock index in London stock exchange calculated from a group of stock price.

    NASDAQ is an stock exchange in US but most people refer NASDAQ as NASDAQ index which is a stock index at NASDAQ stock exchange

    To a broker I think you need at least a bachelor degree, preferable finance as your major. And you need to pass exam to get license to be stock broker. Some company might want higher qualification and experience.

    Start reading financial newspaper/magazine, watch TV like CNBC even at start you won't understand what you read/watch, in the long run it will do you good if your aim to be an excellent stock broker
