What is Falun Gong?

there was a long protest of it, and people marching with banners and stuff...what exactly is it, i just know that it has something to do with the Chinese government and killing thousands of people

can someone explain to me what it is and do you mind saying normally cuz i dont understand it in "wikipedia words"

It's a Chinese religion/cult invented by some guy.

I think the more interesting part of the question is why the Chinese government is so threatened.

Then answer to that is they're threatened by pretty much anything they can't control. FG get more press however because of their protests plus the fact that there's not a government controlled version (a la 3 Self Church).
