What is Fie?

I have pioneer deh-34 and was wondering wat the option F I E is?? What does it do? It turns on to 100 then 160 then to 250.

  1. Front Image Enhancer cuts the high frequencies out of your rear speakers.  Despite the name, it doesn't do anything to the front speakers.  The number is the cutoff frequency; if you set it for 100, the rear speakers will just play the deepest bass; set it for 250, and they'll play some lower midrange too.

    The usual effect is to make people think their rear speakers aren't working.
