  1. they will credit you the fee they charged you at the end of the auction.  It is a small percentage of the total sale.  Not the total amount you were paid.

Pay-pal and e-bay have changed too much in the past year.  They no longer care about reputation, just volume of sales.  This is why many of us who used to sell a lot on e-bay are no  longer using it.

YOur best bet from now on is to get payment in money order only, and ship only when payment is made and ship it with a tracking number and signed receipt.  It costs more but you will cover yourself from being ripped off again.

    Hope this answers your question

  2. Payments have to show as 'completed' in your PayPal account for them to be 'safe'.

But even then, if the buyer used their credit card to fund the payment, they can contact their card issuer and claim that the card was used fraudulently - and you end up with a charge-back (ie, the money is taken from you).  Waiting till the money has transferred to your bank account doesn't make it any safer for you either.

PayPal is tremendously safe for buyers and hugely unsafe for sellers.

To see what the final value fee is, have a look in your seller account (access it from a link on your eBay summary page).  To get it back, you'll need to start an 'unpaid item dispute' .  Details on that here

  3. IM NOT SURE HOW MUCH A FINAL FEE CREDIT IS BUT NEXT TIME DONT SEND THE GOODS UNTIL YOU R SURE THE PAYMENT IS STAYIN WITH YOU
