What is free flow exhost? Any problem from fit thiz for engine?

  1. It's an exhaust which doesn't restrict flow.


  2. yeah what he said /\ never run without the pipes if its a 2 stroke, they need that back pressure for everything to combust and work right in the cylinder, if u take em off they will run strong while they last... but ur waiting for it to blow

  3. Free flow means there is no baffeling in the pipe. A muffler filters air for polution purposes and noise. but free flow is just a straight, completly hollow pipe coming from the engine

  4. A free flow exhaust is exactly what it says ,, it means there isn't any obstructions or tightness in the exhaust flow . Most bikes are designed to have a certain amount to allow proper flow from the cylinders . I had a Yamaha and when the muffler rotted out it would not run properly but was great as soon as I put on a new muffler. Two cycle motorcycles need a tuned exhaust to allow it to run properly. That's why they have a large expansion chamber but a small exhaust pipe.
