What is Going On With Geelong and King??

Why do you think Geelong would be pushing Stephen King to retire after how he played in the Grand Final?? He played so well and was one of the best players on the ground!! I think Geelong want him out so they can bring Blake back in to take his place as then they wouldn't have to be swapping them... Do they think that maybe King is soon to be past his prime??

  1. Well I think they'd be desperate to keep Blake because that gives them 5 to 10 years of a very good ruckman.  King has two to three good years left perhaps.

Chances are (as I suspected) that Blake has said "If I can't get a game, I'll move on".

I don't think Kingy should retire.  If there's one guy in the club who deserves to be part of the golden years (if they end up being plural) its Stephen King.  He's a champion player who's had rotten luck.

If Blake has that attitude, I think it's probably best to let him move on.

So ... who's gonna get Blake?  Richmond?  What would any club offer up for him?  A couple fo picks?

  2. We Are Geelong The Greatest Team If All! We Are Geelong We're Always On The Ball... We Play The Game As It Should Be played @ Home Or Far Away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem Sorry, little carried away... I'm not sure why, Maybe they want him to go out on a high? Get some new blood... But Why WE'RE SO GREAT!!!! Cos We Are Geelong The Greatest Team Of All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I havent heard much lately but I think Geelong will use King as a trading pawn so they can keep Blake.

It would be a shame if they got rid of King or he retired, hes a great player and by no means past his prime - he definately proved himself in the GF this year.

At least he now has a Premiership flag :)
