It's my favorite area I've been to Sol Melia Rio Luna four times and hope to go back in December.  Playa Guardalavaca is a beautiful white sand beach that goes on for ever.There is a busy  flea market with lots of vendors selling all kinds of souvenirs, t-shirts, wood carvings other clothing etc. etc.  Please check the links below.  trip advisor offers dozens of reviews.  enjoy yourselves.


  2. Nice, but too touristy for my taste.

    That said, nearby Playa Esmeralda (Luna, Mares & Rio Doro) is small but gorgeous.
