A friend of mine told me to give her some childrens imodium but I am not to sure about that.

  1. Its an antihistamine...   will help with itchyness and cause drowsiness.  Wont do anything for diarriah..

And boo you.  Your child is 10 months.  You should NOT be trying to self diagnose or self medicate your child.  Call your pediatrician!

  2. My son takes hydroxyzine for his allergies and itching associated with his eczema.  I've never heard it used for vomiting.

  3. Yes, Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine, but it also can be used for nausea/vomiting.  But it won't do anything for diarrhea.  Make sure to keep your baby well hydrated, and if you're worried about the diarrhea and don't want to try children's Immodium, call your pediatrician.  Good luck!
