    The letter is most likely junk mail trying to get you to join their bank.

  4. It's an online bank. I happen to be a customer. They offer interest on your checking account and an overdraft protection limit.

    They can offer interest on your checking because they eliminate tons of costs by not having physical banks and paper statements.

    The overdraft protection allows you (if you need to) to go negative, and while you are negative you are charged interest, just like a credit card, rather than a huge $30 charge.

    They function just like a normal bank, but deposits must be direct or mailed to them. You can also link your physical bank and transfer funds.

    They are part of the AllPoint ATM network, so you can access thousands of ATMs free of charge.
