  1. Teredo tunneling allows IPv6 to be mapped to IPv4.  Probably not necessary; it would perhaps slightly improve utorrent network performance by allowing you to connect to hosts with older OS's, who you could not otherwise access.

But IPv6 has been part of Windows xp since 2002 and declared standard in the Linux kernel in 2005, so I doubt there's a whole lot.

Not sure about why it's greyed out - if you are using the latest ver of utorrent, it probably means you probably have the latest version of IPv6 with Teredo tunneling.

Keep in mind, to use Teredo properly, you must have your firewall allow its UDP outgoing and inbound connections to pass unfiltered.

And if people haven't forgotten, this is a free society.  You are free to exchange information over the internet, and bittorrent is a good way to do so.  It shouldn't be associated solely with illegal activity, nor should it be used for such.  That in mind, if you want your privacy protected, you'll have to do it yourself with a firewall such as peer guardian.

  2. IPv6 is a new TCP/IP protocol, (current standard is 4) That is a bit more beefy.  There's no reason you should need it with utorrent, and its most likely grayed out because its not installed on the OS.  IPv6 has nothing to do with proxies or tracking, so yeah, you'll still get caught.  :)

  3. lol no IPv6 is the new IP version cause IPv4 is has been depleted of available addresses and if anything IPv6 will make it much easier for authorities to track illegal activity
