  1. Usually....a bad check.

One (or more) of the checks you deposited bounced.

  2. It means that the check you deposited was returned by the bank it was drawn on.  The person or business that gave you the check did not have available funds to pay the check.  You can either wait and deposit the check a second time or you can return the check to the person/business and ask them to replace it with cash.

If the item is returned a second time, it cannot be deposited again.

  3. It depends what it was. If it was a cheque then it bounced and they couldnt take the money out of the other person's account. You will have to ask the person to write you another cheque. If it wasnt a cheque you deposited then I cant think what it would have been because obviously it wasnt cash.

  4. The check you deposited into your account was returned by the bank becuase they could not collect on the funds from whoever gave you that check. Basically, the person that wrote you that check gave you a check but did  not have the funds to cover it in their account. Since your bank could not collect the funds they debited from your account. This now means you are out of that money so I hope you have enough funds in your account to cover anything you've spent (checks, debit card, etc.) since you made that deposit. Contact the person that gave you the check and tell them it was returned unpaid and you need to get the "cash" into your account asap plus any charges you might have by your bank.

  5. WELLLLLLLLLL the only deposit that can be repaid is a CHEQUE that you must have deposited on the account. Unpaid means there was most probly a problem with the cheque, could be for any reason as the cheque was not signed by the person who gave you the cheque, they do not have enough funds in their account to pay into your accoutn. I would contact the person who gave you the cheque and explain that it has been unpaid and ask them why"!"!

  6. ITEM ReTurneD UNPAID.  Aka "Returned Deposit Item".

Short form, you deposited a check and it bounced.  The bank didn't get their money so you don't get your money.

  7. You deposited a check and it bounced.  You need to talk to the person who gave you the check and get your money from them as well as the fee your bank will charge you for the bounced check.
