  1. Illinois' Minimum Wage Increases to $7.75 on July 1st, 2008

    Governor Blagojevich reminds Illinois employers and workers that the state’s minimum wage increases to $7.75 an hour starting on July 1, 2008. The minimum wage will increase by an additional 25 cents in each of the following two years to $8.00 on July 1, 2009; and $8.25 on July 1, 2010. On Dec. 18, 2006 Gov. Blagojevich signed into law legislation increasing the state minimum wage to $7.50 per hour on July 1, 2007. The minimum wage will increase by an additional 25 cents in each of the following two years to $8.00 on July 1, 2009; and $8.25 on July 1, 2010.
