So I was told to get some Ipecac and put it in my first aid kit in case of poisoning in order to induce vomiting. The pills I got are the kind that go under the tongue and the dosage is 200CH.....which I have no idea how strong this is. How many tabs would I need to give an adult to induce vomiting? And a Child?

I couldn't locate any syrup which is said to be the best kind to take to induce vomiting, but I couldn't find any in my city. They all had the tablets. Any idea of how many tabs to take?

  1. the Ipecac you got is homeopathic and is not use to induce vomiting it is actually a remedy to prevent vomiting.

Keep away from electromagnetic fields, computers, lamps and such.

Get a homeopathic first aid book there are other remedies for poisoning that will be handy to have like Arsenicum after the person vomits. Getting a homeopathic first aid it with it makes you able to deal with bee stings (Apis mel. for instance is a good one to have)

But for the induced vomiting ask a pharmacist for some appropriate peroxide or he may have other suggestions.

I also have some Australian Bush Flower Essences in my first aid kit.  ABFE Emergency Essence drops are great and the Face hand and body cream is good for sunburns though some use the Solaris drops and dab it on and takes some internally.  The best though I found for burns is the Emergency Essence drops diluted with EIS type Colloidal Silver (under 30 ppm anything over is the wrong type of CS) and the ABFE remedy Mulla-Mulla shaken and sprayed on, but is not sold that way, it has to be made up.

  2. Do not use syrup of Ipecac unless directed by a health care professional. Inducing vomiting after an ingestion of a poison or overdose may cause aspiration (barf in lungs) or burning of esophageal lining and/or upper airway tissues. Call poison control or 911. Fast medical attention is the only answer.
