  1. The green country side, old churches, The Blarney Stone, the potatoe famine, Guiness, red hair and freckles, The Cliffs of Moore, shamrocks, leprechauns, U2,  St. Patrick. That should get you started.

  2. guiness beer!

  3. Ok here goes.

    1. Molloy Malone

    2. Guinness

    3. Friendly People

    4. U2, the greatest rock band in the world!

    5. Unpredictable weather.

    6. Castles,

    7. Celtic Art etc

    8. A somewhat laid back attitude to life.

Thats about all I can think of for now. Good luck.

  4. Probably for Guinness. The Guinness family built a brewery near Dublin several generations ago. The beer is very dark and very good. I was delighted by the many posters in the pubs - "Guinness is welcome in the home", "Black is beautiful", Guinness is good for you", and many more.

  5. the lucky charms cereal

by the way wich one are you?

  6. Its diaspora. The Irish are everywhere.

Most of the English speaking world i.e U.S. Canada, Australia, Britain etc and many non English speaking countries have had huge numbers of Irish people migrate to them to escape the horror of famine and destitution forced upon them by the misrule of the British government in Ireland.

The Irish have become politically powerful in many countries to the degree that although it is only a small country it has powerful allies i.e Irish/ Americans etc.

In regard to drinking and other such characteristics, that's just to forget what the Irish suffered.

  7. Shamrocks, beer, whisky, oysters, soda bread.

  8. -warm friendly people: like me :P

-rain: makes the land green and ruins my hair on a daily basis

-Guinness: mainly for drinking but it has other uses as well

-potatoes: most Irish people eat potatoes every day as a part  of their main meal

-green countryside: slowly being destroyed by more and more construction sites

-red hair: even though there are more redheads in Scotland than Ireland :D

    -music: U2

    -writing: WB Yeats, Oscar Wilde

-folklore: some of the best myths and stories are Irish

    hope this helps! :D

  9. well i would say its the beer or whiskey, the food is lousy but it famous for being very green

  10. Guinness and Irish whiskey

  11. really nice country. The people are very friendly too. Shammrocks, Bono (U2)

  12. blarney stone

  13. It's something like 40 shades of green (so they say - I've been, but didn't count).

The Cliffs of Moher are spectacular; there's also the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. How about Waterford crystal? Yes, to the beer, potato famine. Peat bogs? Gaelic language? The fact that you can find palm trees there (it wasn't on a beach); Aran Islands and the Aran sweaters (if you look it up, try Arran, too);sure, shamrocks and St. Patrick's, too. The Burren? The altars and Celts - I'm starting to think I need another trip that way.

  14. I doubt it could be easily thumbnailed. It's probably very beautiful in both town and country, with it's problems and it's decent people. I doubt anybody'd try to convert me to Catholicism but that's where I'd like to visit most. The south and west of Ireland. Do this; click on the homepage above the search window and click on ' Images ' then type in ' Ireland '. Better if you go county by county. Check the map. Can't be that many, actually. Hope this gives a lead of some kind.

  15. BEER!
