Legally speaking. I am not interested in using drugs in Japan besides the occasional beer with my sushi. I just want to know EVERYTHING before I go there so I know what is right and what is wrong. I want to know what situations to avoid. Thanks for your answers!

  1. well, i'm pretty sure it's illegal in japan.

yes, looking it up, it seems like a russian sumo wrestler got arrested for it... also i know of a boy band member who got in trouble for it.. some pics of him in a magazine with it.   or something.

  2. It is against the law and they are especially tough on foreigners who bring it in. It is not so popular in Japan except in certain area's of major cities and mostly young people who want to experiment.

  3. Posession of Marijuana is illegal in any other country except for the Netherlands by law.

In certain places in the world it will be tolerated or "decriminalized", for this instance, in Japan it's simply a felony.

  4. legally speaking bob marley

  5. If you were caught with just one joint, you would be arrested, and then deported. Then not allowed back into the country for five years.

BTW, you do NOT want to see the inside of a Japanese jail.

  6. It is illegal for any kind of drugs in Japan.

You will be in detention for 2 days and fined 100000 Yen if you are foreigner at the first time.

The second time,  your detention is 22 days and  fined 500000 Yen.

And you will be expelled from Japan.

  7. lol beer and sushi yay =P anyways i have no idea but im curius as hellll so im adding this to my wachlist toodles! ;D

  8. It's not just that the law is bad, but most regular people have a really negative stereotype about it and don't really understand what marijuana is. This is coming from a hippie chick who grew up partly in the USA before moving back here so i can sort of see both sides. The thing is that i just won't do it here, even tho i meet some other Japanese who have lived abroad and know it's not the evil that the Japanese media makes it out to be, because the penalty is harsh. Just a few years ago i heard of a senior citizen get jailed for life because it was found growing on her property without her knowledge. Foreigners will be deported for possession and usually never allowed back in, ever ever. Even Paul McCartney had to wait 11 years before being allowed back in.

  9. Zero tolerance.  You will be jailed and deported if caught with any amount of marijuana.

  10. toke it up bro
