It's like Sylvan learning centers. They place a real focus on math tutoring.

One of the big differences is that Kumon uses a "drill and kill" type of method.  Very interesting methodology - I suggest you look into it more if you are in need of tutoring.

Kumon is a tutoring program. My mom signed me up 2 years ago, not that I was low in school, but because she didn't want my brother and I in the house during vacation doing nothing. Here they teach you the basics; language arts, math, etc. They'll help you if you have a low area or if you're real good, they'll help you advance even more. At the beginning, they'll  make you take a test and depending on how you score, they'll help you.
