I am to participate in a model United Nations symposium, and I am to represent Kuwait in the League of Arab States. I was curious if anyone knew Kuwait's position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

  1. very tricky

kuwait would support palestinians but feels humbled by US help in its crisis with saddam in 1991.it is a double standard attitude.

  2. It is important to realize that the term "occupied territories" is a misnomer.

When the State of Israel was reborn in 1948, the "Palestinians" did not exist yet; the Arabs had still not discovered that "ancient" people. They were too busy with the purpose of annihilating the new Sovereign State and did not intend to create any Palestinian entity, but only to distribute the land among the already existing Arab states. They were defeated.

They attempted again to destroy Israel in 1967, and were humiliated in only six days, in which they lost the lands that they had usurped in 1948. In those 19 years of Arab occupation of Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip, neither Jordan nor Egypt suggested to create a "Palestinian" state, since the still non-existing Palestinians would have never claimed their alleged right to have their own state... Paradoxically, during the British Mandate, it was not any Arab group but the Jews that were known as "Palestinians"!

  3. officially they support palestine like all the arabic countries but in reality they don't do anything to help them because they have the USA for allies

people of kuwait don't allow to go in israel even for tourism (it is writtent on their passport) and they call the country "the occupied territories" never israel...

    good luck for your representation!!!

  4. Kuwait supported the Arab population in the former British mandate of Palestine for many years, in anticipation that they will be saved from terror. During the First Gulf War when Saddam occupied Kuwait, Arafat and his gang supported Saddam's terror regime. The Kuwaiti government downgraded the support to the so called Palestinians. At the moment Kuwait is facing threat from Iran, hence they are shifting a bit closer to US and Israel. Kuwait slowly realise that Israel is the one and only democracy in the Middle East and it is easier to co exist with Israel in peace than with the so called Palestinians and other terror regimes. The Palestinian people is just an invented tribe. Arafat's predecessor in the terrorist hierarchy Shukeiri invented the Palestinian people. In reality they are Arabs, who lived in the area during the 2000 years of exile of the Jewish people. They should settle in other Arab countries, like Jordan which was part of Palestine like the current Israel. It is a fair division of the land that the Arabs got Jordan and the Jews got Israel. Problem solved.
