  1. medal,water and long objects

Basically your pretty tall and walking around with metal on you near the beach there's a big chance you might get hit by lighting

  2. litening go for the kloesest thang.  If it hit erth, it hit tall or hi thangs...

trees, antenna, hous, power lines, kars

  3. metal, the tallest object around( ike a person in a field of no trees)...not neccesarily water but when it touches water it's bad

  4. metal and water...

  5. Lightning always finds it's easiest path, not necessarily the shortest, to the opposite potential. So lightning from the bottom of a cloud (negative charge) might strike either the top of another cloud or something on the ground (positive charged).

Taking the easiest path may mean going around a patch of drier air and choosing between a tall dry dead tree or a short bag of salt water, ie YOU --- no offence but to lightning that's what we all are!

It would probably choose some of both if you and the tree were close.

If it hits a fresh live tree it can be amazing as the tree literally explodes and often splits in half lengthwiseas all the moisture in the tree trunk instantly vaporizes.

If you are indoors it is probably not a good idea to touch anything with a relatively easy path to ground. That means any wired electrical appliance, wired phone or even a water tap. Cell phones should be fine.

  6. Metal. Tall objects. Water

Basically. Dont swim during a thunderstorm. dont be in the middle of a feild during a thunderstorm. dont talk on the phone during a thunderstorm(if its really close to your house)
