Logistics involve the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material-handling, and packaging.

Logistics is about moving materials, information and funds from one business to another business or from a business to the consumer. Logistics is an important part of the business-economic.

There is great demand now a days in this field.

LOGISTICS means Transport Finished Goods from Manaufacturer to selling place or shipping to Overseas thro Container.

The Management of Logistics is very good Important Roll of Logistics.

I am working as Executive Purchase. I am doing the Logistics work in my Company.

My duty of Logistics as follows.

1.Finish Items like Pumps/Valves etc to be packed in Wooden Box.

2.Marking to be done in all Boxes, Seller and Buyer

3.If it is Export.PO Marking in All Boxes like Consignee Address and Consigneer Address and Marking like

W.Box No: 1 /5 ,2/5,3/5 ,4/5.5/5 etc.

4.Before lifting Materials EXPORT Invoice/Packing List to be prepared and submitted to Shipping Agency.

5.On receipt of Green signal from Shipping Agent, we have Transport the Materials and handover to ICD Godown in

Mumbai or Chennai or Kolkatta or Cochin ( which ever near to your place)

6.Inspection to be done at Godown and loaded in Container

7. Then Shipping Bill/Billing Lading to be prepared by Agent.

8.On submission of shipping Bill and Bill of Lading at Bank.

You will get the Payment.

9.If it is inside India, you have to Book the Goods sent thro Transport like TCI or V-Trans etc.

10.On submission on LR and to Bank you will get the payment.

11.In some case, you will get advance. That case you have sent Materials directly to Vendor

So Logistics is majore role in today's life. Car to Liquid

Bicuits to Foods are doing thro Logistics.
