  1. London is still a vibrente city with loads to do.There is more to do than the London dungeon and the eye.Try going to westminster and get the river taxi down to Blackheath and you will pass historical sites like Limehouse and the albert docks and such like. Also go to the east end to the markets there.China town in soho as well.Just take of your belongings because Leicester square and busy areas there are a lot of eastern european pickpockets about.Enjoy your time and good luck.If you get chance get to Hyde park barracks about 10 15 in the morning and you will see the QLG(Queens Life Guards) leave towards horse guards

  2. london is a great city

    you should go there again

  3. Go see Parliament and the Tower of London. The Tower is awesome for history. There is also a small museum called "Britain at War", I believe. We went there last summer and really enjoyed it. It gives a very realistic portrayal of what it was like during WWI and WWII...you can go inside a bomb shelter and hear realistic sounds and stuff. Not the best place for children, but as adults we found it really interesting and a wonderful way of remembering all the people who fought very hard to defend both the US and the UK during that time.

  4. Expensive rubbish, go to Turkeyx

  5. Fun

    Crowded.

    Loads to see.

    Cool museums.

  6. They speak english there

  7. London is an amazing city, there is so much to do here. Have a look at http://www.londontown.com/, you can spend hours on this website finding really cool things to do. The attractions depend on your interests, for instance I would avoid the London Dungeons (I think it's quite expensive and claustrophobic) and head over to the Natural History Museum in South Kensington instead, but that's just because I like the dinosaur fossils!

The Eye is good fun, and the views are great so long as you go when the weather is clear. If you have time to book a theatre show at the West End then do, it's a good experience. There are loads of shows on - have a look at the box office page on LondonTown. If you're looking for art then the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square is excellent.

Shopping is expensive (especially if you're exchanging $ to £ at the moment), but it's still worth having a look around Oxford Street and Regent Street because there are so many big names there. Yes, it's really busy (especially during rush hour), but that's part of the fun!

    Some tips:

    - Carry a small print-out of the underground map with you.

    - If you're looking for a black cab then they have a yellow light illuminated if they're available and you can hail them down.

    - On the tube escalators, everyone stands on the right and walks on the left - NEVER stand on the left!

    - Underground tickets can be confusing, but if you're going to do a lot of travelling then get a travelcard (either for a day or a week) - you can use them on the trains, tubes, buses, DLR, some boats. Don't keep them in the same pocket as a phone though because they'll demagnetize and won't work in the ticket barriers. ;)

    - Be warned that you will be offered a free newspaper absolutely everywhere.

    - Don't be afraid to ask for directions, even though everyone looks like they're in a hurry. You probably won't understand tube station workers (I don't!) so ask a commuter or a student.

    - Check out the nightlife because it's amazing, but be prepared for expensive drinks.

    - The underground does not run throughout the night.

    - You aren't allowed to have alcohol on public transport.

    - Don't go too far south to anywhere called Brixton, Stockwell, Streatham, they aren't very nice areas. All the interesting stuff is in zone 1 of the tube network.

I hope you enjoy visiting London!

  8. busy ... very busy

  9. london is busy and over expensive but great to visit.

the london eye is a must, ive been on it and the views are amazing espcially on a clear day.

the london dungeons i have also been to them and they are also good for a fun way to learn a bit about history.

there are so many things to do you should go on the visit london website

  10. the weather can be realli dull & boring depending on where u stay

    but...

london eye and london dungeons r fab!!

  11. I live in a town on the outside of London so I go there with my family sometimes just by getting the train and I really like it. There are a lot of cool museums to look around in and I have been on the London Eye once before and I really enjoyed it, plus you get a really good view.  I haven't ever been to the London Dungeon before so I can't tell you what it's like but my brother has been there before and he really liked it.

  12. i like london, im a small town girl at heart so even the height of the underground elevators had me in awe. And i fell TOTALLY in love with camden id love to live there for a while.i love the atmosphere its so cool.

its a great city to visit i love it, innit!

  13. London generally is a busy place, but once you get used to it, it feels small and like home. The London Eye is amazing if it's not cloudy and the London Dungeons are good, but maybe a bit scary depending on how old your brother is.

Beware that you will be offered extras all the time, that are not free.

  14. London is full of people who do not have a fking clue how to speak English. All they do is sign on the dotted line for the benefits. BUT London is Kool it just the animals that are here that are not caged.

  15. I LOVE IT

    The bright Lights

    Shops

    London Eye

    Buckingham palace

    The Dungeons

    Hamleys

    Harrods

    Natural History Museum

    Maddame Tussards

    The Tube

    Red buss

    Shows

    Gigs

I love it soooo much LONDON :D:D

  16. Dirty and crowded.

    Terrible place.

  17. Its a great city ruined by rude, obnoxious, arrogant people who think they are better than everyone else.

If you ignore every person you come across and pretend you are the only person in London, then you'll enjoy it.

  18. it's big and full of people. make sure you put some sensible shoes on as you'll be doing plenty of walking.

    naughty Jabba!!

  19. Try to plan your time in advance. That doesn't necessarily mean packing in as many admission fees as possible though. What I mean is, plan to go to somewhere , an enrty fee place for example, - and then fill out remaining time with visting a famous park - walking along the embankment.

The best way to do this is - decide where you want to go. Then look at a map and see what else is in the vicinity that you can see afterwards.

So many really good places in London would never feature in the top 10 places to visit - yet you may find you have the best time at one of the 'secondary' venues.

Some memorable examples for me: A mini exhibition of sculptures I came across in a park - fantastic.  An absolutley brilliant busker/one man band who entertained us for an hour or more. A lovely picnic in the middle of a park on a hot August day. Sitting outside Houses of Prlmnt/Palace of Westmtr and watching all comings and goings.
