What is MOS(68) like in the field?

I am joining the army and I ship-out 9/15. I chose 68W as my mos and I wanted to know how bad is it in Iraq and some things I should know about being a Combat Medic

Attention to datail you need to be able to focus in stressful situation.  

Combat Medic is not an MOS it is simply Medic you are a combat medic when you see combat and earn your CMB.  Being deployed with a hospital or support battalion doesnt count you need to deploy with a combat arms battalion.  And actually have contact with hostiles.

Iraq is hot long hours and people shoot at you.  Its a party come on down.  No really it depend on where you are Tikrit is not too bad but then again the green zone gets motared nearly every day.
