  1. MRU objects are how your computer stores the "most recent" version of anything. For instance, the most recent music file you played, or the most recent web page you opened. It's just a way for your computer to keep track of what you do. They really just sit there and do nothing on your computer, which is why your scan detected them. They don't pose a threat to your computer, so you don't have to get rid of them. However, they really do nothing, so deleting them won't do any harm. I hope this helps!


  2. I bet you are using AdAware?  An MRU is "most recently used". It is simply those recently used files that can be seen in programs such as Paint, Office and Word when you click "File".

    MRU's are totally harmless...unless you are worried that someone will see what files that you have opened recently.

    The detection of these non-existent threats by the free version of AdAware is a cheap marketing ploy to "encourage" people to purchase the full paid version.
