What is Mad Magazine?

What exactly is Mad Magazine? I know it's supposed to be funny or sarcastic.. but what exactly does it have? Jokes? Politics? Explain to me.

that does satires of pop culture

anything in hte news

or anything that is classic

like tv shows

and theres also just regular cartoons in there too

its funny

theres a few other magazines like it

Mostly political and social satire presented in illustrations and cartoons.

Lots of cultural references and parodies, with some comics and funny fake ads tossed in.  It's basically a mish-mash of humorous elements.

It pokes fun at society, politics, trends, pop culture, and popular thinking.  

I haven't read any recent issues, but it used to be slightly darker, more sophisticated humor than regular comics.

its an old sarcastic mag with pop culture and poilitical views aimed at maybe 13-25 year olds

They take a popular t.v. show, movie, or pop culture item and do a parody of it in a comic-strip fashion, and will put a picture of the main characters on the cover.

Its like a big magazine with a whole bunch of like litle cmics in it and jokes. some times itll have politic jokes in it

Mad Magazine is a comical and satirical look at life through different cartoons and parities. They did do some political stuff from time to time, but mostly as politics relate to the human condition. My favorite was "SPY vs. SPY".
