  1. Mail in rebate is when they give you your rebate through the mail. Rebate is giving you money back once you buy it. In your case, MAIL in rebate means it will coem in the mail. So if something was $80 and mail in rebate is $20, the overall price would be $60 but you would pay $80 up front and get your $20 back later.

  2. You buy whatever you buy and at that time they will charge you the whole price. BUT they will give you a receipt which you mail to the address on it. Once mailed, you will recieve a check later with the money that is discounted from the orignial price. FOR EXAMPLE:

You buy a $40 video care after a $20 mail in rebate. They will charge you $60 when you buy it. So later at home you mail in the specific receipt that you are suppose to mail, and a couple days later they mail you a check with $20 on it. So you only paid $40.

They do this in hope that you are too lazy to mail it and they get all $60.

  3. you pay full price, then you mail in this like coupon thing and you get money back.

  4. Whenever you buy this product (if you decide to) the rebate is usually printed out like a long receipt. It has instructions on what to mail in, and where to mail it to. Usually it's a copy of the receipt, a copy of the UPC bar code, and some other things. In this case since it's a $40.00 rebate, you will get $40.00 back. Sometimes you have to read the fine print to make sure there is no hidden details. This happened to me once with an Office Depot store. Also, check for the deadline to send it in, I would recommend mailing it the day of the purchase, they tend to make the deadlines a few days later. So at any rate, basically you would pay the fifty five dollars, and then send in your rebate, and they would send you back a check of $40.00. Basically you are buying it for about $15.00

  5. YOU MAIL IN THE RECEIPT AND THEY WILL MAIL YOU A CHECK BACK FOR $40.

  6. they give you this paper.. you fill it out w/ your recipt and then the give you the money back.. its stupid.. i dont see the point

  7. you buy that thing then you send in that filled out rebate form and they send u 40 bucks back. but u buy it for 54 99 first.

  8. It works no matter where you buy it!! Rebates are sometimes a pain in the butt, but ultimately worth it! Your fill out a little dealy thing (online or mail-in, depending on your individual sich) then after a couple weeks you will recieve a check it the mail which you them cash at the bank!! cool huh?

  9. After you purchase the item at retail value, you are given this paper.

You fill out the paper with the information being asked.

Then you mail in that paper and eventually they give you back whatever money is promised.

So, if the PC Card is $40.00 after mail in rebate,

If you summited the rebate, you would get 14.99 in whatever form of  payment they say they will deliver.

  10. with the video card a little like paper is shiped and you mail it to the company or wherever and they give you back the money basicly.

its to make it seem cheaper but people tend to forget about the rebates.

  11. It means you send the rebate they give you in the mail to the company, and they send you the money back, usually they just deposit it in your bank through electronic transfer.

  12. You cut off the UPC or Proof Of Purchase and attach it in the letter to send out.

  13. With a mail in rebate, you buy the product for the full price and then you mail usually your receipt, proof of purchase and sometimes a form to the company that made the product and they send you a check for whatever the rebate is, in this case $40.  So you end up saving the money, but just not immediately.

  14. It means you will have to pay the full price when you buy it. But then mail in a proof of purchase (store should give you this or something else pre-made to send in). Then within a few weeks you should receive a check for whatever the mail in rebate was which in this case is $40.

In my experience, they take forever to come back but atleast you are getting some money back!

    Hope I helped.

  15. It means that you buy it in the store for 54.99. Then you mail in the rebate (the cashier should tell you what you need to do), and you will get a check in the mail. So if the rebate is $40 they will send you a check for that much and you will have only paid about $15 for the video card. Yes it works if you buy it in the store.

  16. when you buy the video card you pay the full price (in this case 95.99). once you get home you mail in a discount and $40 is taken off the 95.99 making it 54.99

  17. That means you mail it in, and like 2-4 months later you receive the money.

In order to receive the check properly you need to make sure you put the UPC code on the box in the envelope or you won't get anything. 90% of the customers do this.
