I was told to put a coat on my bathtub at my apartment every 2 months. What is it and where can you buy it?

WHAT KIND of bathtub do you HAVE?!?  If it's porcelain coated steel, I believe someone is "pulling your leg" and inviting you to have a bad 'slip-and-fall' accident.

Specifically, its a car wax, hehehe.

You can find it at any auto parts store, or the automotive section in any department store.

Mcquire's is just one brand of wax, you can use other brands for this purpose too.
