What is Methyl Sulfonyl Methane and what are its health benefits and side effects (if any)?

I've heard extremely good things about it but is it actually true? Has someone used it?

It is a building block that aids the formation of cartilage in your body.  Similar to glucosamine and chondroitin, but a biochemical more primitive form that the body has to convert, thus it is cheaper than glucosamine.  I am not aware of any side effects, but just about everything has them so if you have a particular health condition then you should always check with your doc first.  The only real side effect of glucosamine aside from allergic reactions to shellfish is a stomach ache.
