  1. its not easy to get it! if you are depressed you only qualify for counselling AFTER you have attempted suicide TWICE in this area.

naturally most people succeed at suicide by the second attempt!!

if you want counselling and are not prepared to try and kill yourself twice (and fail doing it twice) then I'd suggest going private.

the counselling is the same with the same people its just that make access to it almost impossible

  2. Speaking from personal experience, when I finally got to see a physcotherapist (not a counsellor) - and boy what a fight it was to get to see one - had to practically kill myself first - and I'm not joking

anway it was the best thing I have ever done for myself, she saved my life.  I saw her once a week for 2 long years.  I do put the success down to the therapist personally rather than NHS versus private though.

If you need more info privately then let me know.

  3. It depends what your problem is but generally for minor mental health problems its of mediocre quality

  4. It's the same as any counselling, a waste of time.

  5. long waiting lists, if you can get appoinment in the first place, and often its only for a short period, i.e 10 weeks, and then you are on your own again

    still waiting................
