What is Navy Boot Camp like for a Woman? ?

I would prefer answers from women who've gone through navy boot camp. What do you do during your period? What if you only use pads? What about shaving your legs? What are the showers like? etc

Well i just took my birth control straight through without the placebos so i didn't get a period in boot camp. If not then it's kind of hard, especially in the beginning when you barely get bathroom breaks at all. As for shaving your legs, it depends on your RDC (people that yell at you all day). We had to earn the right to shave our legs by passing tests and things but the only time you really have to do that is sundays if you do. Sunday you have holiday routine and it's a little more relaxed than the rest of the week. The rest of the time you'll barely have time to wash the soap off but after the first few showers it's not so bad and you get used to it and develop a routine.

It's the same as men.  You get no breaks because you are a woman.  Shaving your legs?  LOL....when you get time you can shave your legs.  Showers?  Big room, lots of shower heads.
