  1. My opinion is that Newcastle is the absolute best!!!!!!!!!!

You will not find friendlier people anywhere on the globe.  The humour they have is outstanding its like meeting Billy Connolly everyday, yes i know hes Scottish but thats the kind of down-to-earth humour the people have. Of course if you dont find him funny then its not the place for you.

Move to Newcastle and you will make friends in minutes, move to Manchester and if you try hard you might make some friends, move to London and you wont even know your next door neighbours name after you've lived there a year!

I live on the outskirts of Newcastle now, but i have lived elsewhere due to my work including Manchester and near London so im talking from experience here.

  2. Newcastle is a great night out, there are loads of restaurants that cater to everyone's tastes and with the recent "capital of culture" push you'll never be stuck for something to do.

There are some really nice places to live in and around Newcastle too. Jesmond would be a great place to live if your going to be renting for a year. The Metro system offers a good alternative to driving if you want to get to and from work in town.

I can only really speak about mine and my friends experiences of working in Newcastle. So depending on what you want to do, this may be of little relevance. I find there are good jobs here but not many... I take it your looking for something to live on for the year, in which case you should have no problems. If you were to compare the amount of jobs with London there would be no competition.

Hope this helps and if you do come to Newcastle I hope you enjoy your time here.

    Ben.

  3. Its a good place to live, the people are nice and nightlife is great. Also living costs are a lot cheaper than in London
