What is Northern Donegal in Ireland like?

Which time in Northern Donegal does it turn dark in the winter, and what is the weather like there in the winter, is it cloudy?

I live in north Derry - not too far from North Donegal. It's nearly always clody - we get all the weather from the north Atlantic so it can be bitter at times. Gets dark about 4.30 in the winter.

But - it a beautiful place, Fanad, Inishowen, the Bloody Foreland etc are great places.

I've not been up there much but it should be more or less the same as in the rest of Ireland - we're not that big a place!

That means it'll get dark on the shortest days at about 4/4.30 pm and 10.30 in the summer. Our weather is quite changeable. Often clear skies but cold, wet and windy in winter though often cloudy too even in summer.

I live in Donegal and our winters are a mixed bag.Some weeks can be crispy cold and dry others wet and mild and quite often stormy and dark.Sometimes it's even mild and sunny.So basically expect anything.Our light starts to fade about 4.30 in the midsts of winter.

Last time i went up there, it was January and by god was it cold. The wind was so strong you couldn't actually walk without nearly being pushed over

Donegal is a lovely county and it has a lot of farms too! There's beautiful scenery.

Seeing it's in the north the weather is more windy, wet, cold and cloudy.

Well.......I live in Donegal..........(da Twin Towns....Ballybofey n Stranorlar!) nd in winter its cold.....wet....n windy......but we did hav a bit a snow! ") funni stuff! "p x
