is it used to treat leukemia and what are the procedures and what are the symptoms after treatment?Is this a new thing or has it been around for a while? How effective is this treatment compared to other normal treatment for leukemia?

  1. It's been here for  a long time now. It is used to treat cancer cells, irradiating and killing the bad cells. But in the process, some of the non-cancer or the healthy cells are also damaged. I believe it is the standard treatment nowadays.


  2. it is not used to treat. but to help diagnose, or to monitor.

    they inject you with radioactive materials, and then make you lay there for hours while the big camera looks at what it sees
