  1. it really good....esp. Metha paan

    here's more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paan

  2. Well to eat it or not its your choice. But evidences suggest its not the "paan" but the tobacco, chuna "calcium hydroxide" and the "supaari" the betel nut which are the main culprits of oral cancer. However its one of the famous and mouth flavoring breath freshener that is popular mostly in northern India. It is called betel leaf and to it a lot of spices (sweet and hot) are added to bring it to perfection. Betel leaf are grown in the eastern part of India and is one of the major import. People have been taking them simply with "chuna" and "supaari" or in an aristocratic way (Like the paan of Lucknow) which are also studded with gold or silver leafs. One such paan costs upto $30-$40 dollars. People also say a lot of other different narcotics are sometimes added to take it to a different level. But simply if you ask a "paanwala" a person who makes paan to make a "meetha paan" (a sweet paan) for you, he can remove the so called harmful ingredients and make a moth freshening experience for you. I guess you can also find paan in many Indian grocery stores.

  3. DO NOT EAT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I  IT CAUSES MOUTH CANCER!!!!!!!IT MITE TASTE GOOD BUT I ADVISE U 2 STAY AWAY FROM THAT STUFF!!!!!
