  1. there are a few things it could mean. one is the fuel pressure psi, the amount depends on the engine. another could be turbo/supercharger psi(pressure air is being forced into the motor) and again the amount depends on the motor

    hope this helps!

  2. psi is a measurement of pressure, usually air pressure. tires need to be set at a pressure to maintain optimum traction and braking ability. an engine has to be able to develop a pressure inside to effectively puss the pistons down so that the car will move. there are just so many areas of a car that use this measurement, but i dont think that you are asking this question for some reason.

  3. PSI is the same anywhere. Pounds per Square Inch. It is pressure. The right amount is correct for what you have. Too high or too low can be equally bad.

  4. psi is pounds per square inch. could refer to a lot of things so be more specific. i assume you are refering to the compression ratio, the higher the better but  all the cylinders should be close to the same or it can indicate a lot of things including burnt valves. second most used reference to psi is for oil pressure, again the higher the better, within reason of course.

  5. PSI stands for Pounds per Square Inch.  It is a unit of measurement for oil pressure, tire pressure and cylinder compression.  Low or high PSI depends on the particular specification for the application.
