What is Pennyroyal tea?

This is in a Nirvana song, and i just always wondered what it meant?

i'm pretty sure that its an herb that gives off a very strong spearmint fragrance. it can be poisonous.  It can harm your liver and is used sometimes in aromatherapy. I have NO idea why. :)

It's just that... tea. Pennyroyal is an herb thats sorta like mint.
