What is Perth Australia like?

My friend said it is like the gold coast, whereas another one said it was like a mini Sydney....

The centre is nice, but it is now part of a conglomeration of towns that spread over 190kms along the coast. Nothing like the Gold coast is Australia which looks more like Benidorm in Spain, all horrible high rises!

Perth is wonderful little, clean city.

I have lived here my whole life and never felt isolated or bored, you have everything you need plus more.  You dont have to travel for hours out of the city to get peace and quite. There is lots to see and do, northern suburbs for beaches and fremantle for shopping and culture.

Many people associate Perth as being boring, dull and isolated we get it all, only because its further away from Melbourne (which think they are the world) We are only isolated is you compare as to the other capital cities in Australia. Perth is closer to Jakarta than it is to Sydney, but that's why so many people love it and you would never notice how far away we were untill you looked at a map. so much to see and do, with a 12,000 km coast line. I'm glad our little clean city is not well know or famous but it is now the fastest growing city in Australia - now that's got to mean something.

Its exactly like a little Sydney,  But everything seems to shut early. It is friendlier than sydney too. I love Perth, it is an awesome place.
