  1. It is more of a lame musical love/thriller. It is about this girl who was a dancer for the opera, then the main soprano drops out and Christine, the dancer, is drafted to do it. She sings in the opera and an old love comes and sees the show. He recognizes her and comes out to find her. They recognize each other and basically make-out. But, the phantom, a disfigured reject who lives in the opera house, gets jealous because he has a secret crush. So basically it flashes back to when he was a circus freak and Christine hides him in the opera house. So the movie goes on and he kidnaps her and, the young lover saves her, he steals her again, he saves her. Finally phantom gets smart and kidnaps the man.Phantom gives Christine a choice, release him and stay with him, or leave and he gets killed. She starts to cry and the phantom lets them both go out of sympathy. But like the true creeper he is he like follows her EVERYWHERE! like so it flashes forward to Christine's grave and you see the phantom, but not fully, and for the end you see him leave and there is a red rose and it is is supposed to be all romantic and such.

You better pick my answer, i spent like 10 minutes.

  2. The Phantom is a legendary figure in The Paris Opera House who some believe is just a myth, but others know better. He haunts the opera house, overseeing the productions and sometimes commenting on the performers. Christine Deea is the pretty ingenue with a voice like an angel who The Phantom is determined to turn into a star. She at first, thinks he's her "Angel of Music"that her father told her about when she was a child. Raoul is her childhood friend and they've fallen in love, but The Phantom has other ideas for his protege.

It has some horrific moments, but it's a wonderful musical, beautifully adapted to the screen and well worth a look

  3. it's not horror AT ALL. from what you wrote. u would love it.

the phantom is a disfigured boy who ran away from the circus where they had him on display being whipped. he lives in the opera house. he grows up, and falls  in love with a soprano named christina, who already has a boyfriend person guy. she sees him one day, and thinks that he's her father who had died years ago....i can't write any more without spoiling it. u should TOTALLY see it, though. great music, awesome story

  4. there is no horror in the phantom of the opera. its about a girl who sings for the opera named christine, and she gets a little stalker following her around who is the phantom of the opera. she already has a bou, so he kidnaps her and her boyfriend dude saves her, and then it happens again, until the phantom decides to kidnap the dude. dont wanna spoil the ending for ya, so i'll stop there. ♥

  5. The story of a young chorus girl, Christine - a young talented singer who, with the right training, could become world famous. While rehearsing at the Opera Populaire, where weird and unexplainable things happen, she captures the attention and the heart of The Phantom, or as the Opera Populaire call him...The Opera Ghost. But he is no ghost - he is a disfigured musical genius who has hidden away for years to avoid the cruel stares of strangers. With the Phantoms help, Christine becomes the venue's leading lady, but tragedy awaits as the young soprano has fallen for the charms of handsome noble Viscount Raoul De Chagny, not realizing her Angel of Music is deeply in love with her. Insane with jealousy and unable to see the object of his affection, and ultimately is obsession, in the arms of another man, The Phantom kidnaps Christine - unaware of the lengths Raoul is prepared to go to get her back

I love the movie and bought the soundtrack after I saw the movie.

  6. The Phantom of the Opera:

He is a genius whose rapturous music fills the Opera Populaire of 1870 Paris--and a solitary soul hiding his disfigurment behind a mask and dwelling in the catacombs below. But he can no longer hide his love for young soprano Christine. And the Phantom may emerge from the shadows past the point of no return.

The stage musical sensation magically and hauntingly comes to sreen in director Joel Schumacher's lavish production, sweeping audiences aloft to new cinematic heights of sight-and-sound grandeur. Gerard Butler (the Phantom), Emmy Rossum (the National Board of Review Breakthrough Performance Award winner as Christine Daae) and Patrick Wilson (as Raoul) play the fateful love triangle that unfurls in splendor, suspense--and in the music of the night.

    Got the movie. =]

It's basically a love story that takes place in an opera house in the 1870's. A soprano, Christine, is having secret singing lessons from the Phantom of the Opera, who starts to fall in love with her. The Phantom [they do call him a ghost in the movie, but he's not] is feared because of his disfigurement. On a night of Christine's performance, her childhood crush, Raoul, sees her and falls in love with her all over again, so it's a fight between the Phantom and Raoul for Christine's love. Amongst all of that, there's wonderful singing. There is much more information, but that's the outline of it all. =] It's good, check it out.
