  1. yes to all of them

  2. Depending on the type of plug e.g floating, sinking shallow diving etc you retrieve them slowly with the occasional twitch or the rod or a series of stops when retrieving the lure. One of the most famous brands of these are rapala, they can also be used for saltwater fishing.

  3. It is just another word for artificial baits that are casted out and retrieved for bass fishing, generally. they can be top water, divers, or plug that is a combination of the two-twitch it in and it stays on top, reel it in and it is retrieved under the surface of the water-some can be trolled also.

  4. A "plug" is a crankbait(a lure that has a lip and dives below the surface of the water), and plugging is the term for fishing with them. There is a link below that has some plugs on it. Hope that helped you out!

  5. Question what is plugging?      Answer:Plugging is a term or a method of fishing not a specific lure. You must of heard the word plugging from some other anglers. actually plugging in some areas of the country is trolling a crank bait along near bottom and twitching or jerking or pulling the crank bait and letting it drop back this is usually where the strike occures. You can also use spoons in this method. It`s also known as chugging. Another method is hand lining difference reel is mounted on boat and you tug the line by hand, same lure setup no pole.   Just plug and chug along
