You have to activate it right away because it won t let to activate it after the end of the day

    good luck

  2. "Port scanning" is an activity -- possibly a hacking attempt, not a virus. Port scanning means someone across the network (not on your computer) is scanning your computer for open ports possibly to see if he/she can access any of the services running on your computer (such as file and print sharing, web server, telnet, ssh) for hacking.

You cannot get it off your computer since it is not "on" your computer. You can choose to let norton protect you against port scans but do not make any fuss about it. I am sure you might find such an option in the settings.

  3. A portscan is coming from outside your computer. It is done by someone looking for an open port on your computer to possibly try and hack into it.

Symantec was letting you know that someone tried. More than likely symantec blocked this scan.

It's not actually on your PC so Norton cannot find it.
