  1. Prince William (and his brother Prince Harry) are both serving in the Army in the Blues and Royals of the Household Calvary. As part of an initiative to familiarize William, who will one day be head of the armed forces, with all branches of the armed services- he has spend the last 4 months with the RAF and will spend additional time with the Royal Navy later this year.

It is then thought that, after a few more months with the Army, he will retire his commission and become a full time working royal.

  2. On the US news last night it said he has officially become an RAF pilot.  His father, Prince Charles gave him his wings.

  3. Prince William is as of 2007 serving as a Cornet in the Blues and Royals regiment of the British Army's Household Cavalry, together with his younger brother, Prince Harry. Within his regiment, he is known as Cornet William Wales. In 2008 William was enrolled in the pilot training program at RAF Cranwell where he is referred to as "Flying Officer Wales", he was given the callsign Billy the Fish by his fellow pilots being a pun on his name William Wales which also uses a part of his father's title for his surname.

  4. William, since he is going to be King and head of all military branches,is a member of both. He,like his father, will see duty with all branches of the military.Charles did most of his duties with the Navy, but was a pilot and marine. We'll have to see which branch William will focus on.

William is slated to start with the Royal Navy in 2008.His duties will be split between the navy and RAF. http://www.royal.gov/uk/output/page5573....

  5. He is in the RAF and he's been promoted recently.

    Carlos.
