What is Promo Chips at a Casino??

I just got a letter from the Monte Carlo Casino in Las Vegas to go and try out their new restaurant called Brand. They also say I get a suite for 2 nights, $150 dollars I can use at their restaurant Brand, and $1,000 promo chips. My question is What is Promo chips? and how do they work? Can I cash-out my promo chips and don't play? Please let me know. Thanks

(Ohh, by the way I get promotions like this all the time because I have a membership with the Monte Carlo and I have a lot of gambling points)

you will only be allowed to play the promo chips - not cash them.

If anything you would have to play through once, i.e. wager $1000 in total with the chips, anything you win along the way would be yours to keep.

I have never heard of this from the Monte Carlo. Comps are just that, Complimentary. Call 800.822.8276 and ask to speak to your host - have your player's club number ready. Your same number works at all MGM properties.
