What is R&P's opinion of Bullet For My Valentine?

Question

I see alot of people make bashing comments on them...but what's your TRUE opinion of them?

Do you see them as emo like alot of other people? Do you think they should be considered metal, especially taking into consideration their last album?

Do you think they are good?

I happen to like them alot...I liked them before all these other emo fans got in on them. it kind of sucks really. now on their videos all I see is "Matt Tuck <3333"

*sigh*

and I do think they are metal. not metalcore, their first album The Poison was BARELY metalcore.

Their last album Scream Aim Fire is metal in my opinion and so is The Poison except The Poison was more like melodic metal.

and I don't think they're emo. Their fans are of course, (go look at their myspace and the comments), but they don't even look remotely emo. People just start tagging them as that because of their fans AND because once one person said it EVERYONE said it.

I&#039;ll dispute you on whether or not they&#039;re metalcore, but I know they&#039;re not emo. Either way, I never really liked them...

metalcore, deathcore, nintendocore, piratecore, antcore, psychocore, grungecore, drugcore, slam - yourhead - while multitasking - while changing your babies dyper - while eating your food metal. HOW ABOUT JUST CALLING IT METAL.... lol

they are a pretty good band IMO I dont listen to much of them but they are decent never the less

Eh... Some of their stuff is decent I guess. I don&#039;t ever really listen to them, except for maybe the song Hand of Blood once in a blue moon. I don&#039;t know, I guess I really never got into them.

I for sure don&#039;t think they&#039;re emo, but I do think that they do fall in the category of metal.

I heard them once or twice before and I thought they were terrible, but, me being the wonderfully open-minded person I am, give me the name of a good song and I&#039;ll listen to it and comment again.

I know a lot of people who listen to them, and when i&#039;m around them, i&#039;ll happily listen to BFMV. So you could say i like their sound, even though i&#039;m not a big fan. I don&#039;t consider them &#039;emo&#039;, because they&#039;re a lot different to bands like paramore or MCR.

But a lot of scene people are fans, so that&#039;s how they get (falsely) labelled emo.

bullet is not emo they havent been emo and they never will be emo they are just the fans are but im a huge fan and im not emo

No I don&#039;t consider them emo. I do like them, they were my favourite band for a long time and introduced me to metal (they made me get over the screams.) Though having listened to heavier and heavier stuff I don&#039;t listen to them as much as I used to.

I think they should be considered at least some type of metal if not the heavy thrash that they probably want to be, but metal nonetheless. I went to see them in Dublin last June and they were brilliant, it was my first concert as well. The only thing I don&#039;t like about them is their lyrics. They can come across as very cheesy, especially on Scream,Aim,Fire.

personally, I love them.  I don&#039;t care what category other people put them in.  I think they&#039;re great no matter what others think of them.

I know what you mean man i hate those girl fans that are like MATT TUCK I LOVE YOU &lt;33333 your so s**y, man that just gets annoying, meh yes emo&#039;s do sort of cause a bad reputation and i don&#039;t see what&#039;s so Metalcore about it, but i&#039;m sick of metalcore, death metal i just like to call it Metal. Anything heavy = metal deal with it nothing more. Bullet For My Valentine are actually really helping the metal scene these days, i have both The Poison and Scream Aim And Fire bought both brilliant albums.

I completely agree. I love BFMV, I know most people don&#039;t know this but they&#039;re one of my favorite bands, lol. I agree with the you about the fans. Some of the fans are annoying but Matt Tuck is d**n attractive, I can&#039;t believe for half an hour I thought he was g*y! I felt like some stupid fangirl, lol. They&#039;re not even close to emo, though. Now I&#039;m going to have a BFMV marathon on my iPod. I feel like listening to them. Oh yeah, I hate how people call them Metallica Rip Offs. Not cool.

i think they used to be an amazing band. Hand of Blood and Tears Dont fall are amazing songs.

but then Scream aim fire came out. i think by that cd they sold out enough to lose some of my respect, but still not enough to say i dont like them.

and just so you know, i personally am not emo. i have been called emo before, but thats just because i used to have a weird haircut.

I like them.

Definatley in my Top 5. I don&#039;t consider them emo, I consider them metal. They&#039;re nothing like emo music.

I do see where your coming from though, one of my friends claims to love BFMV but all she says about them is how hot Matt Tuck is. Very annoying.
