An Rf frequency range is a specific area of the electromagnetic spectrum that you are interested in.  Generally, it would have the same characteristics in the entire range for your purposes.  

There are defined RF ranges.  The VHF range runs from 30 MHz to 300 MHz.  The UHF range runs from 300 MHz to 3,000 MHz, etc.  See the wiki link below for a detailed list of the established radio frequency ranges.
