I eat out everyday and just heard the news that we are supposed to be getting taxed again! I may have to eat out only 4-5 times a week!

  1. In today's Sun-Times,  I  noticed a .25% for loop restaurants over the 10.25% county sales tax.

  2. Sadly 10.25% as of July 1st.

  3. I think it's 10.5% but I think ther is a "take out tax" also. I can't keep up with the filthy crooks in this state and their never ending dip into our pockets...

  4. The restaurant sales tax in Chicago is 1.25%. The new sales tax increase only effects General Merchandise (incl. motor fuel& restaurant purchases)

  5. gonz, I've located a local directory of restaurants that might help. You can narrow down the Illinois results by cities nearby to you. If you visit nearby restaurants you can narrow down wich one would work best for you. http://www.restaurantreviewsratings.com/...
