What is Rolkur (hyperflexion) and why is it bad?

This is a horse related question for those of you who were wondering. I work for a newsletter and got a question like this one and i don't know the answer so i nedd help and Quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My horse might have it as well.

  1. Anytime you see the word 'hyper-'  it means that muscle or group of tendons has been over-stretched or over-extended.

    never a good thing-- like a baseball player with a 'hyper'-extened calf muscle-----with rest and a little therapy everything should be just fine.

    But get it checked out as soon as possible!
