Please answer this question if you live, have lived or have visited Rugby. I'm considering moving there and was wondering what it was like as a place to live. How are the local shops? What are the schools like? Is there much culture or arts? Is the history celebrated or ignored? Does Rugby have it's own, distinct identity?

  2. Hi, Rugby is not too bad, there are some shopping areas and they are quite modern, the town is close to the M6 Motorway and has a good hospital St Cross. There are secondary and primary schools and the place is quite pleasant to look at.

Rugby is quite unassuming, it does not shout out about itself, it just gets on with it.

Of course they are proud to have had invented the game of rugby.

Rugby also has a canal system and a long canal tunnel at Newbold.  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jJKbaOO9Il...

Clock Towers is one of Rugbys shopping centres which is good with good parking.

There is some industry in Rugby, scrap metal and cement works, waste management and services.

Rugby is mixed architecturally with modern housing estates, some 70s and 80's council estates and the old part of the town built around 1900, terraced housing.

Rugby has good rail links too.
