What is Rush Seating at sports events?

When I go to ticketmaster and buy tickets, it says

RUSH SEATING

what does this mean?

The ticket specifies a seat and a row and a section.

Rush Seating is another term for General Admission.  Often, but not necessarily all the time, there is no assigned seating; just a first-come first-serve basis.

I think rush seating is sold on a first come first served basis. You can't get tickets in advance or choose where you want to sit when you buy them. Seats are not guaranteed.

All the searches I did came up with methods of chair-making.
