  1. SI is a standard for measuring the characteristics of objects.  It is a worldwide system based on the metre, kilogram and second.

    there are different units followed for calculations such as

    System International (SI) Units i.e., Kg, degree C, m etc

    British or Engineering System i.e., lb, degree F, ft etc
