What is Sakura's role in Naruto?

Question

I'm on episode 38 of Naruto and I haven't seen Sakura do anything that's helpful to her team mates. All she does is call out "Sasuke-kun, Naruto-kun" and "Are you all right". Is she gonna be like that throughout the series?

And in what episode does Itachi apear in?

sakura becomes VERY helpful later on. like in episodes 200+ and especially into Shippuden :D Itachi is in shippuden.

Well in the future episodes Sakura starts to learn healing jutsus, and she also starts getting more combative in Naruto shippuden.

80-83 is when you see a lot of itachi im not sure though its the first time he appears.

In the Part I is she really useless. But in the Part II (Shippuuden) is she very good, she is strong and is experienced medical ninja.

Well she becomes a medic and she do pretty much in the beginning of shippuden, but it feels like that's just to make up to her lack of screen time in the rest of the anime so far.

Yeah, she stops calling their names all time but that's all.

She's just thrown in to get an "important" girl character. That's how I see it. And do she do things around 200 it's nothing, because that's fillers, just like all eps from around150 to the end. You can just ignore those. I stopped watching them because they really suck.

very early in the series, shes probably as much use as a wet tissue.

but later on, she gets more and more useful and in shippuden, shes a medic ninja so she heals her team mates and can master chakra control to be able to deliver some destructive punches.

shes also abit of a morale boost you could say.

She's the healer, and she's got a pretty good personality. I haven't watched much of regular Naruto, but I am watching Naruto Shippuden and it is very good.
