Question:

What is Science.....?

It's for Zoology. Here is what I came up with. "Science- the study of the known, and the exploration of the unknown." I think that sounds stupid. How would you define science?

  1. Science (from the Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") is the effort to discover, and increase human understanding of how the physical world works. Through controlled methods, science uses observable physical evidence of natural phenomena to collect data, and analyzes this information to explain what and how things work. Such methods include experimentation that tries to simulate natural phenomena under controlled conditions and thought experiments. Knowledge in science is gained through research.

    Zoology is the study of animal life. Zoology is a science. Zoology means "the study of wildlife". It is about animals. It is part of biology.
