Seltzer water is a carbonated drink that has been put under pressure so that when you open the bottle the gases rush out, this creates a fizz. It can be added to a drink or drink mix that creates a soda or bubbly affect. Some people prefer this than the regular drink as it is more unique and interesting. Seltzer is good because it is almost tasteless. Also, some people drink seltzer on its own, it feels like soda, but taste like water

For me, it's just a carbonated alternative to regular water.    Add a wedge of lime and it's very refreshing.    I drink several glasses a day.

My kids prefer a less healthy use of seltzer (same as club soda).   They add a soda syrup (like jamaican cola or strawberry) and make a soda out of it.
